Contribute to Our Work

The Mekong Center for Data Protection (MCDP) is a regional hub for research, policy advocacy, and training on data protection, privacy, and responsible data governance. We work with governments, businesses, and civil society to build a safe, trusted, and inclusive digital ecosystem in the Mekong region.

We offer hands-on opportunities in law, policy, technology, and communications related to privacy and data protection.

Examples of our internship, research and project opportunities:

Policy & Legal: Draft legal briefs, monitor regulatory trends, support policy dialogues.

Communications: Develop infographics, blogs, and social media campaigns on digital rights.

Technical (CS/IT): Work on privacy-by-design tools, testing anonymization methods, or mapping datasets.

Privacy Policy Audit: Review popular apps & SMEs; publish findings in an annual report.

Awareness Campaigns: Design creative campaigns (videos, podcasts, comics) for public outreach.

Mock Data Breach Simulation: Practice incident response in a real-world scenario.

Privacy & AI Hackathon: Interdisciplinary innovation challenges.
